#59 Far Far Away by Tom McNeal

"A strange and fateful tale of a boy a girl and a ghost" That pretty much sums it up, but it is oh so much more!
Jeremy just wants to be normal, have friends, live a boring, everyday life. It was bad enough that he could hear a ghost, specifically, the ghost of one of the brothers Grimm. Yes, the fairy tale Grimm. Add to all of that the fact that his father was a recluse, they owned a bookstore with only 2 books, he was the perfect target. Ginger was one of the "cool girls", you know the type, popular, pretty, top of the list.  What could she possibly have in common with Jeremy? And how could both of the connect to poor shy Frank Bailey? A complex, funny, dark story fittingly filled with fairy tales!

#58 The Undertaker's Apprentice (West Palm 1) by Joss Cordero

Zach takes great care and pride in his holiday decorating, he wants them all to look festive. The fact that they are all corpses, well that made it even more important to him, that they look perfect.
Mr Fiorello, the Funeral Home director, doesn't understand, and fires him.  But Zach isn't trying to desecrate the dead, he is worshiping them in his own way.
This is a wonderfully creepy, macabre story, with twists and turns and hold your breath moments! I am looking forward to my next peek into Zachs, weird, warped mind. If you like the darker stories and bizarre minds, this is absolutely a story for you!

#57 Small Town Witch by Kristen S. Walker

Rosamunde is a witch, so is her mother. It's no so unusual, at least not in Madrone, a gold rush town where faeriekin abound. Rosa, as her friends know her and her sister Akasha go to Crowther Private Academy, the Jr. and Sr. High School for magikin, few humans, even witches or scorcerers go there. In Rosa's class there were only 5 humans.
Her family gets along very well, almost never arguing, or fighting about anything. Even her friends think they are exceptionally nice to each other. Rosa is at that age where she should start dating, but really, she's never wanted to. Just the thought of dating makes her blush. She slowly starts to realize that there IS something odd about her family. I won't spoil the story, but what she finds is a real shocker! A great book to start a series, good for middle school and up,some mention of LGBT issues, but not the main focus of the story. I can't wait to read more about Rosa and her friends.

#56 Homespun Bride by Jillian Hart

Noelle had lost a lot, her sight, her parents, her fiance. No longer wanting to marry "Damaged Goods", as he put it, he called off the wedding and moved on. Noelle was stuck, in her Aunts home, in her spinster status. She was trying to be grateful for everything she did have.

Her Aunt Henrietta was struggling to control the new horse her Uncle had bought.
It is a losing struggle, in a wagon, barreling wildly down the road, horribly like another runaway, another wagon, that cost her everything. This just can't be happening again!

Rescued at the last minute by a man who's voice sounds familiar. Noelle finds herself wishing she could turn back the clock, to a time when she was deliriously happy, as Thad McKaslin's girl, waiting to be his wife. Before he left her, without a word and disappeared.

Follow along their struggles to make sense of their feelings and their Faith, what little they have left. I won't spoil the story for you, as you will want to turn each page yourself, at your own pace.  A thoroughly enjoyable story.

#55 The Rockin' Chair by Steven Manchester

Alice was drifting...farther away every day. John held on to what she had been and tried to ease her days as the confusion stole away the woman he loved and had loved for so many years. It was time for the grandchildren to come home.
As the time grew short, his pain was overwhelming. Then at her funeral he felt her poke...insistent, and he knew. John set out to heal the wounds of his family. They may all be broken, his fault as much as any of theirs, but he would set them on the road to healing, and heal himself in the process.  This is a story that is painful to read at times, with pain raw and real, but also with Joy, forgiveness and redemption. A journey well worth being undertaken.

#54 Untimed by Andy Gavin

Charlie knows exactly when his Dad and Aunt Sophie will appear. Two weeks in October and Two weeks in January. Well at least he's does well in school. It would be nice if he had friends. But nothing he has read or studied has prepared him for the discovery that he is a time traveler! At least, that's what he thinks at first. He soon discovers that a lot of what he has studied is useful.
History suffers, as does Charlie and Yvaine, a fellow time traveler bounce around history and do a pretty good job of mucking it up! So they set out to make things right. The ride is one you will never forget! Dad and Aunt Sophie are involved too. It all stacks up to a fast moving story that will keep you reading right up until the end!

#53 The Biscuit Witch by Deborah Smith

What a delightful book! A richly detailed, laugh-out-loud-fun book full of  wonderful descriptive phrases that will tickle your funny bone, entice your nose and warm your heart! Tallulah Mac Bride, the Biscuit Witch, had a scary childhood, a scared adolescence, and a tough first few years of young motherhood. Things had just gotten worse, a lot worse. She is on the run, with her daughter Eve, from a powerful, influential man. This book will tug your heartstrings and make you laugh until you risk spraining your fondant. (trust me, when you read it, this will make sense to you) I will tell you very little, because I want you to enjoy the story as it unfolds as much as I did!
