Amish White Christmas Pie by Wanda Brunstetter

Amish White Christmas Pie by [Brunstetter, Wanda E.]
Another book from one of my favorite Authors! It follows Will from being abandoned by his father with an Amish couple who raised him, to his crisis of faith brought on by the pain and uncertainty of that threatening his upcoming wedding. Then a bolt out of the blue....his Father is looking for him! I won't spoil the read, but you will enjoy it! There are recipes at the end (Not however, one for the White Christmas Pie!) As always a great entertaining, faith filled read.

A Halloween Carol By Sean Hogan

A Halloween Carol by [M. Hogan, Sean]
Funny, wicked, full of teenage angst and universal questions. Follow our three teens (plus some very interesting others) through a myriad of different, supernatural challenges.  I thought the ending was a bit trite, but still a satisfying read all in all.

Bread Bags & Bullies, Surviving the '80's By Steven Manchester

A look into the minds of Boys, who grew up in the era of my Daughter.
I gleefully connected with the music, TV shows, toys and Family customs (we all had them). But the dynamic between brothers was a whole new adventure.
As always, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit into the past, courtesy of one of my favorite authors. I think you will too.

Christmas at the Lakeside Resort By Susan Schild

Christmas at the Lakeside Resort: The Lakeside Resort Series Book 1 by [Schild, Susan]
What a great, fun read! Jenny, our heroine, starts out, down in the dumps, bored with her life, but afraid to risk changing her future. The world intervenes and the wild ride starts!
I loved every minute with Jenny, her two old dogs and her miniature "House Horse"! Grab a hot chocolate, a warm blanket and a puppy or two, curl up in front of the fire and settle in for a wonderful Christmas story!

the Forgiving Jar by Wanda Brunstetter

A charming book by one of my favorite Amish fiction writers!
Michelle was trapped in an abusive relationship and ha deceived Willis and Mary Ruth Lapp. Pretending to be their granddaughter. She was guided by scriptures in an old canning jar toward God and has made good by confessing. Ezekiel King talked her into coming back and coming clean. She is now living with the Lapps as herself! This book starts as Sara, the real granddaughter is moving in and resents Michelle, her relationship with Willis and Mary Ruth, and how well she fits in! We follow as Sara and Michelle try to figure out, how each of them relates to God, to the Amish or to each other! A great read!

My Heart Belongs in the Blue Ridge by Pepper Basham

My Heart Belongs in the Blue Ridge: Laurel's Dream by [Basham, Pepper]
Jonathan Taylor was running, running away from the failure his father thought he was and running toward a place he thought he could contribute. Because of an old injury, he couldn't contribute toward the war effort, but maybe his brain and his skills could contribute here, in the Blue Ridge Mountains as a teacher for his uncles' mission.
Laurel McAdams wanted more than what she had. Not material things, she had enough of those, makin' do was a way of life in these mountains, but learning. She had a secret hoard, carefully saved from her job, to pay room and board at college . Just a bit more and she could begin. So starts the saga.
A wonderful story of strength and faith. Rich in descriptions that bring life in the mountains into clear focus. Not to be missed!
